CO-OPS 2009 National Workshop
The focus of the CO-OPS National Workshop will be on:
• Maximising the opportunity for practitioners involved in community interventions to share their project findings
• Presenting a range of keynote speakers around current research and findings and,
• Workshopping the useability of the Best Practice Principles
• Networking
CO-OPS is offering practitioners the chance to share their experiences and have them published in a case study storybook, which will be printed in 2010. As attendee numbers for the National Workshop are limited, priority will be given to those who submit a case study submission for consideration. Please refer to second attachment for the workshop registration and case study summary submission.
There is no cost to attend, guests will be expected to cover travel costs.

• There are now 46 resources available through the CO-OPS website Resource Library.
These include a range of Australian and international validated evaluation tools, systematic review of evidence relevant to community-based obesity prevention and reports from major Australian obesity prevention initiatives.
• Coming soon: discussion forums on the CO-OPS website.
A central point for questions and discussions related to all things community-based obesity prevention. We will kick off the forums with a discussion of the three brand new evidence summaries (produced for CO-OPS by the University of Melbourne) when they are released next week. If you have ideas for topics that you would like to discuss on the forums, please let us know by email admin@deakin.edu.au
